Context

Programme context

SAMASTH (Systems Approach for Management of Self-Harm) strengthens the way hospitals identify, assess and manage self-harm. N-SPRITE describes four components: an electronic self-harm register, digitally assisted mental health assessments carried out by non-specialist staff, stronger mental health literacy among clinical staff and structured training for continuing professional development. The goal is to close the gap between emergency treatment and structured follow-up. The programme is funded by the Wellcome Trust / DBT India Alliance.

Delivery

Datalk's contribution

Datalk built the mobile app and the analysis platform for SAMASTH. The work covered infrastructure planning, backend setup and application development, and we supported the system while it was in use.

The research platform Datalk built for SAMASTH.

Scope delivered

  1. Mobile application

Built the software the programme's teams use every day.

  2. Analysis platform

Created a connected environment for analysing programme data.

  3. Infrastructure and backend

Planned and set up the technical systems underneath.

  4. Programme support

Stayed on hand throughout the live period.

What this experience demonstrates

SAMASTH shows the same complete delivery for a hospital programme: mobile applications, analysis and the technical systems beneath them, delivered as one piece of work.
